This year, the Society is offering an award for the Best Places to Live: Animals of the World.

The winning city will be revealed at the annual Society Awards ceremony in New York City on May 18, 2018, and will be featured on the National Parks and Wildlife Service’s National Wildlife Awards website.
The Society is a nonprofit, not-for-profit organization.
The winner will be recognized by National Geographic editors, producers and photographers, who will vote for their favorite cities in each category.
The winner will also be invited to participate in an online competition that will be published in the May 18 issue of National Geographic magazine.
The winners will be notified by email at June 5, 2018 at 12:00 p.m.
