The fix, announced this morning, is an update to Windows 10’s Settings app that will disable automatic updates when you run out of space on your computer, Microsoft said in a blog post.
This change was announced a few days after Microsoft unveiled the Windows 10 Creators Update, a large overhaul of the operating system that’s designed to keep users updated on the latest and greatest features.
Microsoft said that its team of developers has spent months working on this fix.
Microsoft also said that it will release a “full update” for Windows 10 later this month.
